| Good day one and all.
I am trying to identify this colour.
The ones at the bottom are Pearl Gold, are the ones above Pearl Light Gold. I
just don’t recognise the colour
Thanks

They both just look like Pearl Gold. There are two shades of the colour that
you get in sets and they look like them from the photo.
Cheers

(Disclaimer: I'm no expert)
But based on what I've seen with these, those are the two variants of just
regular Pearl Gold. Pearl Light Gold is much more muted (there's a C-3P0
that comes to mind that I have, possibly the only item I have with Pearl Light
Gold). And if you check the catalogue, you can also see that those studs never
came in any sets in that colour. I just checked my studs for that part, and I
see the mix that you have there for my Pearl Golds.
The variants of the two golds are so prevalent, that I've even come across
a paid of Pearl Gold legs (hips and legs) where the hips and left leg are the
light Pearl Gold colour, and the right leg is the darker Pearl Gold colour (looks
pretty bad - this is direct from a sealed set).

The two last of the gold legs I have are like this. I added notes so hopefully
whoever buys this (especially with easy buy) reads the comments!

I’ve yet to see another LEGO color with greater production variance than with
the their (warm) gold or what we here on BL call, pearl gold.
These were parted from the same set number, years ago.

Interesting I just sold a batch of (dark) Pearl Gold 1x1 round plates today.
I had separated the dark ones and listed them in a new lot, with notes about
the color.
There doesn't seem to be a range of shades - they are either dark or light.
I would be in favor of creating a new color in Bricklink to list the dark ones.
They could be an alternate item in inventories where they have been included.

There are (at lest) three shades:

I would vote against that.

Smart. I thought of doing this, but...

...when filling an order, and trying to separate out the lighter color (represented
in the listing pic) I stopped. I quickly noticed when sorting them, it became
more difficult than I initially thought it would be, exactly because there were
shifting shades in-between the light (normal) and the dark (almost non-gold)
colors.
It's more effort for these old eyes and rigid brain, making it a job for
my son or daughter to handle, who are more busy these days than me. So the mountain
of this particular part we have in storage will stay unsorted and in storage
But I do like you idea of a separate listing. It might be a good way to go, with
this part and color anyway.

Yellow is another colour where you often see a variation sometimes minifig heads
are pale yellow and sometimes much warmer looking yellow. I have lots of yellow
hands mixed together and trying to pick out a matching pair in bad light can
be a challenge at times and some are very obviously different and so I was going
to try and separate them but as already mentioned you always get a few that seem
to sit somewhere in the middle of the two shades!
It makes you wonder though as we have the catelogue separating even the most
minor part variants and yet most people don't seem to be too phased about
such drastically different colours being mixed under the same colour category.
Not that I'm suggesting it should be changed or anything after all if Lego
call them Yellow and Warm Gold who are we to argue even though they do come in
such noticably different shades!
