Randy,
I am not sure what you mean by "symmetry" so I studies all the symmetries of
this car. See photo attached.
The reflection along the yellow line is one symmetry, but we can surely assume
that there is no preference between the front and back of this car so we get
a reflection along the red line. Overall, the group of symmetries of this car
has four elements and its group structure is
Z/2Z + Z/2Z
This group is not cyclic and depending on the symetry we choose, we can get four
different answers.
Sorry, I know my presentation is too simple and is not at the level of complexity
of your question but this is the best I could do.
Cheers,
Reza

Hi Reza!
Okay, look at the image below. The left side shows the car from the instructions
with the "TRANSPORT" sticker attached on one door. The right side shows the car
mirrored to simulate the opposite side of the car. Therefore, shouldn't the
"TRANSPORT" sticker on that side be on the
instead of having two
listed in the inventory?

Behind the scenes, I went through all photos on the box art and the instructions.
No image! I also checked photos on the catalogs. There was even a photo of a
train layout in which the train was in front so the sides of the train were not
visible.
This issue exists also for other trains, like 7740. My suggestion is to assume
the symmetry in the normal sense, meaning one left and one right stickered door.
Did you check my question in regard to the inventory change request for train
162?
Cheers

I am so sorry, Reza. With everything going on in the world right now, I am taking
many things a lot more serious than I used to. My sarcasm meter didn't even
register a hit on any of it. (face palm)

That is exactly what I was thinking. I will change the quantity on the one counterpart.

Maybe? I don't know off the top of my head. I am looking into so many different
requests right now and also trying to help Robert with the sticker sheet project
behind the scenes. All of your requests will be looked into eventually. I promise.
Stay safe, my friend.
