Hi I was just wandering if anyone has had problems with receiving their order?

I purchased Lego parts over 2 weeks ago and still haven't received them.
I have contacted the seller and they more or less said to just give it time to
get there. The thing is it would have been quicker to drive there and pick it
up, as it's only an hour away.

In the meantime I have received 4 other parcels (all from Bricklink) within 3-4
days of ordering and they are from other states.

Yes, it was only $16 purchase, and there is no tracking as postage only cost
$3.30, but I have had no trouble EVER in receiving a parcel, big or small.

Sounds like a domestic package since you mention driving there. Based on my experience
even in Canada, ironically... the people that live closest to me within a 5 minute
drive often seem to have their package take 2+ weeks to arrive. We can see that
happen for unknown reasons (depending where you live and how the AU postal system
is setup, your packages may be shipped to another city for processing before
returning to your own city to eventually be delivered).

Untracked mail delays are a common occurrence, but what I can say (at least about
Canada Post, I can't speak to AU Post) is that they get the package to the
end destination eventually. I still haven't had to put in a claim with them
for a lost package. 2 weeks is a short time to wait for untracked mail, even
if you usually gets there more quickly. I commonly wait for 3+ weeks depending
where it's coming from in the country.

A big portion of Australia is either on fire or submerged in flood waters.
Australia Post have mentioned these delays on their website.
Regardless of that, the delivery time frame for un-tracked and non priority letters
is so consistently inconsistent that I refuse to send anything un-tracked anymore,
because I got sick of angry buyers blaming me for Australia Post's tardiness.

I have heard (unofficially) that non priority letters will sit in a mail bag
until it is full before it will be sent on it's way, which would explain
the inconsistency of delivery times. If the bag is close to full when your letter
is put in it will get there quickly, if they've just emptied it your letter
might sit there for a couple weeks, and because there is no tracking there is
no need for any urgency because nobody knows where it is or will question why
it's been sitting at xxx mail room for two weeks.

Be patient, it's almost certainly not the sellers fault that it's taking
so long to get to you.

Thank you for your reply. Makes perfect sense if they are waiting for the mail
bag to be full before actually sending letters/parcels. I have heard stories
about Australia Post, but I haven't had an issue with them yet, so fingers
crossed it will be here soon

Thank you for your reply. At least it's not just our country that has trouble
receiving domestic packaging in a timely manner

Sounds like Canada Post to me. We had one shipment take 6 weeks to travel 60km...
But, as you say, in 6,000+ domestic orders we haven't lost a single shipment
yet.

Niek.

It might be delayed because of the fires in New South Wales.
