I don't exactly know what you are trying to do here. The image that I found
for this set says that it contains 50 pieces (see attached), which is what the
current inventory has in it. Are you saying that you have a different version
of the set that only has 41 pieces in it?

Based on their post it looks like they just weighed the bag with bricks, divided
by the catalog weight of the 1x4 brick and took off one to compensate for the
weight of the bag. This is not a correct way to determine the quantity of parts
in a bag because weight of parts can change when Lego makes changes to the molds.
If they actually counted the number of bricks in the bag they'd probably
find 50 of them.
