I recently acquired a built once, stored in a box, UCS 10179 Millennium Falcon
set. While inventorying, the DBG cones (original with set) were

Part No: 4589b Name: Cone 1 x 1 with Top Groove
*
4589b Cone 1 x 1 with Top Groove
Parts: Cone
not

Part No: 4589  Name: Cone 1 x 1
*
4589 Cone 1 x 1
Parts: Cone
Since this was a later set, should these be added in as an alternate
item, much as the

Part No: 4095 Name: Bar 6.6L with Stop Ring (Patio Umbrella Stand)
*
4095 Bar 6.6L with Stop Ring (Patio Umbrella Stand)
Parts: Bar
has alternate

Part No: 63965 Name: Bar 6L with Stop Ring
*
63965 Bar 6L with Stop Ring
Parts: Bar
Anyone else run into this?

  should these be added in as an alternate item

The issue here is that because you acquired the set used, there really is no
way to verify that those parts actually came with that set when
it was new, regardless of what was said about the set. So unless those parts
can be verified with an unopened set I don't think they should be
added to the inventory.

HI - sorry to tell you but you have been tricked. The set never came with DBG
4589b or LBG 63965.
This set is actually the reason why these 2 parts are so expensive (together
with a few other parts).

Later copies definitely came with 4589b. See

I submitted a request to add them as an alternate:
