Oh, I see it now. The “,colour” bit is wrongfully added to the link.

It seems no one caught it before

Good point, Maxx.

Perhaps a batch was produced, making it's way to a single Lego reseller (here
or elsewhere) to then be sold to a few others in bulk, as has happened. By the
way, this is from personal experience: I'm fairly certain most of

Minifig No: sw0052 Name: Tusken Raider
*
sw0052 (Inv) Tusken Raider
Minifigs: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 2
listed here on BL, came from a single purchase I made many years ago, from Morten
(Danish member) who at the time had a brick'n mortar store as well as a online
presence. Anyway, I made deal to buy 12,000 new head and torso assemblies, that
I then sold to other BL members in bulk (over time)

BTW, it had the effect of a precipitous drop in the minifig's market value.
This example knits well with my earlier post: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1160794

Your macro tags are not functioning as active links (for me anyway) here in the
forum, either.

Well, this is interesting

The active links work from replies, but when I try to use your macro tags within
your original post, I get this...

Great story and sounds plausible for the red hats, thanks.

Yes, it does, but again, let the bricks fall where they may

I told the same in the original post about the new function.

let the bricks fall where they may

Even if others end-up stepping on them, you know how it feels to step on a Lego
brick

Not speaking of color or pic. It's not landing on the listing, but does
when I access them from my reply to your post

Good to hear. I think it was so for his shop back in the day, also.

Great guy

He is indeed. I enjoyed our conversations and painless transactions. When we
spoke some years later, he told me of his changing business plans at the time
concerning Lego sales.

You know when I think of him, it's not those deals but the smallest of transactions:
Back in those those early years, I picked up 20-30 new sw0107 at $10 each. At
the time the market hadn't heated up for those (relative to today) but they
were still going for around $30 (printed part factor) Printed parts for figs
were not yet common place and good ol' Boba had printed arms, holy cow! Two
different printed arms and legs! So there was room for profit and still sell
them cheap. Flipped them almost immediately and though "I'm the greatest!"
Silly me...

But then again, I can say the same about countless other buys over the years
with numerous other vendors. What's the saying "No regrets"

Cheers,

Ole

Mystery solved! Good job, Bret.

Lots of "unpainted" or unprinted floating around, it seems.
