All 10 are required for building this set. The correct quantity is also listed at the end of the paper instructions book.
Two of them are in the inventories of the droid minifigures tlm088 and tlm089.
That means that there are already ten in the inventory of this set (use the break
minifigures option to check that) so this request will be rejected.
