I just got a large (for me) order for a $135 set from a buyer with zero feedback.
I messaged to make sure he has read the full description and to ask how he wants
it shipped, but I’m a little nervous with such a large first order. Any suggestions
or things to look out for?

Ha, looks like I was right to be skeptical. Just got a message from BrickLink
that he has been removed from BrickLink!

That's weird. And fast!

In this case it worked out.

I don't think a zero feedback buyer buying a set is a red flag though.

But to answer your question, weird requests, mismatched addresses etc are what
I would watch out for. Make sure the address is real (correct).

Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much. I get lots of new buyers.

Agreed, many come here when they find that prices can be more reasonable than
fleabay.

I'd be slightly cautious with $100+ sales to newer buyers, just try to cover
yourself as much as possible, pictures, tracking, insurance, etc. But everyone
is new at some point. Also agree to use google to check that address. If you
are really nervous you can check the tax database for that town and check the
owner of the residence most of the time. It is a little scary how much information
is out there. Some inherent risks with selling but only one or two of my 2k+
sales have gone wrong.
