When my counts were all off, I combed through the instructions to figure it out. This is a complicated set with 2 base models and then 3 alternate paths to follow from there. I see forum posts from 2012 where someone else did part of this and believe there was more. Here it is:

1) To build the cycles, the first alternative, you need 20 of this piece and that is the most you need. The set is divided into two bags, each with its minifig and instructions. Each bag had 1 extra of this piece, total 22.

2) Like 1, to build the cycle you need 16 of this piece. The other builds use less. Each bag had 1 extra of this piece, total 18.

3) To build the base modules you need 4 of this piece and nothing else uses them. There was an extra in each bag, total 6.

4) To build the flying vehicles, you need 6 of this part and that is what was included in my set.

5) To build the 4 wheeled monstrosity, you need 1 of this part and that's the only one I see in the instructions. There was 1 in each bag, total 2.

6) To build the flying vehicles, you need 6 of this part and that is what was included in my set.

7-8) You need 4 rubber bands to build the base modules and whatever you build after that you take the rubber bands off and then put them back near the end. No matter what you do, you only need 4. I just added the 5 extras yesterday when I opened this box, but after reading the instructions I have to adjust this around. There were a total of 13 in my set, so 9 are extras.

And I expect to add a new minifig and his armor to the inventory soon, replacing
a minifig who is in the catalog with the armor on.
