  Yes.

If the timeline for bricks 3002 and 3003 is 1987, why an inventory change request
for a set from 1984 needs any evidence?
(By the way, I don't think it is 1987, it should be 1989.)
Why there are 3003old in the inventory and not 3002old?

In the photos, we recognize:
- A 1985 Medium US (108317/108417-US) catalog is included. So this copy was from
1985.
There are the following parts:
- Red and white

Part No: 4081a Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thin Ring
*
4081a Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thin Ring
Parts: Plate, Modified
So this part were still used in 1985 (recall 7817).
- Black hinges with hollow studs:

Part No: 4276 Name: Hinge Plate 1 x 2 with 2 Fingers on End (Undetermined Type)
*
4276 Hinge Plate 1 x 2 with 2 Fingers on End (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Hinge
Again, even an only-American set came with old type hinges
- Glass

Part No: 3855  Name: Glass for Window 1 x 4 x 3
*
3855 Glass for Window 1 x 4 x 3
Parts: Window, Glass & Shutter
- Blue

Part No: 4085b Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with U Clip Thin (Vertical Grip)
*
4085b Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with U Clip Thin (Vertical Grip)
Parts: Plate, Modified

  why an inventory change request
for a set from 1984 needs any evidence?

All inventory change requests need evidence. We sometimes approve them without
evidence based on a number of different considerations, but ideally every single
ICR should be accompanied by some form of evidence.

  (By the way, I don't think it is 1987, it should be 1989.)

Timelines are always subservient to evidence. We don't consider 1987 to
be an unmovable end stop which wouldn't be swayed by evidence of variants
appearing in later sets.

  Why there are 3003old in the inventory and not 3002old?

Because either (a) 3002old did not appear in this set, or (b) no one has discovered
and reported the correct variant.
