Dear BrickLink members,

Each and every savvy BrickLink shopper knows that, at some point, it’s inevitable
to have multiple store carts open for different Wanted Lists or projects. As
your number of active store carts increases, keeping track of which items go
with which list becomes a bit of a struggle. To make matters worse, when you
eventually locate the carts you created to complete a particular Wanted List,
one of the stores may have closed or sold out of nearly everything you needed.
Nooooo!

To make it easier to manage multiple store carts, BrickLink has upgraded the
Global Shopping Cart. The upgrade will help prevent the “opposite of happy” emotion
you may feel when there’s an issue preventing you from checking out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Features of Global Shopping Cart:
Import/export: You can now share store carts with other BrickLink users
by using the import and export functions on the Global Shopping Cart page.
Sources: An item’s source is the method by which it was added to your
cart; it can be added via Wanted List, Easy Buy, Imported, or manually through
the storefront. You can filter store carts by source to easily locate cart items
for specific projects.
Cart changes: When something about a cart has changed (e.g. an item price
has changed or the store changed its VAT rate), it will be flagged with a yellow
icon. The View cart button will take you inside of the cart where you can either
accept changes, update quantities, add items to Wanted List, or delete items.
Carts that require attention: Any cart that has an issue preventing checkout
(e.g. an item’s available quantity has changed or minimum buy not met) will be
flagged with a red icon. Carts with issues are grouped together in a collapsible
table below non-issue carts.
Delete carts: Individual carts that are in closed stores will be flagged
and allow you to delete them if needed.
Global Shopping Cart: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/globalcart.page
Help page: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2468
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You can access Global Shopping Cart by clicking the cart icon in the navigation
bar or by clicking the Show all carts link when hovering over the cart icon.

We hope the new Global Shopping Cart will make your buying experience a little
more relaxing!

Could you do something that makes it impossible to add to carts in a store that
has stoplisted you? Like we had years ago.

Does anyone know how I can import a shopping cart from Bricklink into Brickstock?
This would be very helpful but I have not found a way since BL2.0 launched.

You can at least get the list of items this way:
- Create wanted list from cart (bottom left button in cart).
- Download wanted list (as xml).
- Import XML file into BrickStock.

If I remember correctly you lose qty, price, and also condition, not by to verify
right now. […]

You should be able to get quantity back if you edit the file (any _simple_ text
editor will do) and replace all occurences of MINQTY with QTY (mind the caps).

Export any part id to XML file from Brickstock, open in excel.
Export XML Wanted List from Bricklink, open in excel.
Copy and past required fields from wanted list XML to Brickstock XML, save &
close as XML Data.
Import saved Brickstock XML file into Brickstock.
This is how I get the Qty.
I have tried modifying the Bricklink XML but never seems to work for me, so I
just generate one from Brickstock and modify that one.

When you're looking at a cart in the new "Global Cart"-look, now you can
see the partnumber. Thanks for that!!
But in case of a minifig, the link is incorrect: e.g. P=cty872 should be M=cty872

Please make the View Cart button right-clickable to open in a different tab.
It will make the buying experience much more relaxing.

Thank you.

BrickLink,

I used export/import cart yesterday and it worked fine. Thanks.

(may I mention that Instant Checkout still has many outstanding issues?...)
