| Greetings good citizen of Bricklink forums,
I have been wondering for some time, is there a way to change the "order status"
of multiple orders at once? It would be nice to change all orders that are
packed/paid to "shipped" when the time is right. Is there a way to do this
that I don't see? It gets tedious changing the status one by one.

| Just select shipped from the dropdown next to each order you want to change then
press submit, no need to press submit after each order.

| You misunderstood me, I want to change the status of all "paid" orders
with 2 clicks total into "shipped", whether it is 5 orders or 20+ not change
the status per order, one by one . Clicking submit after just one is a little
silly.

You don't have to click submit after just one. You can pick a new status
for several orders, and then do the one submit click. So not "change status"
- "submit" - "change status" - "submit" etc, but rather "change status" - "change
status" ... - "submit".

You can do as Vegitt has suggested but I think you wanted a way to apply a status
to multiple orders without having to use the drop-down for each, saving many
clicks - correct? I changed this post to a suggestion so people can vote.

would still need to select which orders you are changing the status on. Now maybe
if there were hundreds of orders a day needing to be changed I can see how this
would be a benefit, but I'm guessing its not that many.

| Hi Vegitt,
What I'm thinking of (and possibly what QCHUCKA meant) is something which
would allow you to select all orders in a certain status (for example, all orders
in "Packed" status) and have them update to the next available status (Shipped)
with one click. How it is now, a seller who ships many orders per day has to
manually click the drop-down menu & select the new status for each order individually,
then submit changes at the end.
Let me know if I'm misunderstanding but I think it's a great suggestion!

| Thanks for the response.
When I come home after shipping all my orders, I go to Orders Received page
and make sure to only see "Paid" orders or "Not Yet Shipped" being they are
all the orders I just shipped. The current system only allows for changing
one order at a time from "Paid" to "Shipped" when I would like to change all
order statuses at the same time.
(refer to picture)
For example, in Gmail, you can select a toggle on the left side of the screen
to select all emails. Then you may change the status to "unread", "read" etc.
I would like to have some similar functionality to eliminate the tedium.

This is the problem, this is very slow and inefficient. I have currently sold
over 3000 orders on Bricklink over the past couple of years and those 2 clicks
per order turn out to be 6000 clicks when that could be reduced considerably.
That is a little bit of extra time that can be allocated to more important tasks.

I change the status of some orders that I receive payment, one by one. No way
around that with BLs current system, though Paypal Onsite/Stripe cut down on
that considerably, nothing to be done about money orders and checks. But once
I have all my orders that have their status already set to Paid and since I ship
them all at once it would be nice to change the status of all the orders from
paid to shipped. The other websites I sell Lego on, allow for this. Bricklink
does not.
