These hoses could have easily been Pearl Light Gray back then. Do you have evidence
to support the change to Flat Silver that overrides the original requests for
this set and the other similar one? The online videos and photos that I found
show a much lighter color hose, which would have been classified as Pearl Light
Gray in those days.

Hi Jen
Randy is correct...
Picture with difference both colors

I was also wondering about this change. It is true that the changed inventory
now matches many other inventories from the same period, but the Flat Silver
of today I don't believe is truly representative of the color in these older
sets.
A while back, I tinkered with the idea of a system-wide change as illustrated
by the attached examples. It makes sense to me to list all the older inventories
with PLG parts, knowing there is a certain range of variation.
Similarly, newer inventories should NOT have PLG listed, since it is a retired
color.
Unfortunately a move like this would involve extensive renaming of images, uploading
of new images, checking reliable sets, reassigning PCC's, and a ton of coordination.
But I think it is the path most profitable in the end.

Hello,
Yes, I checked with the member who submitted that request and he confirmed his
parts were closer to Flat Silver. That is why I submitted the correction.

OK. Cool. Then I suggest that Pearl Light Gray is added as an alternate due to
the evidence I found.
