(I was so focused about getting the Flat Silver/Pearl Light Gray thing right
I didn’t notice the missing holes )

Same here. These buckets have been laying around for 2 years, because I didn't
know what color to use  I only noticed last week, that the bucket wasn't
in the catalog yet.
About the color. I still have my doubts. I uploaded a small image in Pearl Light
Gray and it was changed to Flat Silver.

long ago in new inventories. After that I doubted about every part in inventoried
as Flat Silver.

Sorry for the confusion, but these buckets were laying around for two years.
Two years ago sets from 2013 were pretty new I started parting out new sets
end 2013. Ronald is talking about past 2010 though, 2013 is 3 years later. Unfortunately
I don't remember which parts anymore.

I think 2010 is a good ending date for Pearl Light Gray, and I would be suspicious
of that color in any set later than that year. People often see some swirliness
in Flat Silver that they think must be some sort of "Pearl". Likewise, they get
confused when parts are made out of something other than ABS, which I believe
is the case for the Duplo wrench.
When you consider how long it takes sometimes for the general public to catch
a change made by Lego (whether a variant or a color) it is easy to see how several
years of inventories can end up being wrong. All it takes is a few wrongly assigned
PCC's.

It's getting better, as long as I don't spend too much consecutive time
working with Lego. I need to take regular breaks when picking orders or parting
out sets. Unfortunately that means that it takes more time to part out sets,
especially large sets. So I closed my store for a few days while I'm parting
out some Ghostbusters Headquarters sets. I can't work enough hours to do
that and pick orders at the same time and I don't want to wait too long to
get those sets parted out.
