| On BL we only have positive, neutral an negative FB. Perhapse we could do a 5
star rating system + a comment;
for example
5 stars ***** Exellent (Positive)
4 stars **** Great
3 stars *** Ok
2 stars ** Minor problems (Neutral)
1 star * Barely aduqate (neutral)
No star (negative)
I belive this type of system would benifit so not only positive and neutral (and
negative) statuses would have been avalible.

What would be the difference between 3 and 4 and 5. eBay uses this but in 4
different categories which I think is a bit of hogwash. They still have the
positive Neutral and negative. I just do not see how to differentiate between
four and five.

| I voted no. This suggestion has come up several times in the past, and has never
been acted upon by BrickLink. They simply aren't interested in so fundamentally
changing their long-standing existing feedback system, and for good reason.
The major problem I and many others have with these suggestions for an entirely
new feedback rating system is how will it transfer past feedback into the new
system. For example, I have almost 8800 feedbacks, 99.74% of which are positive.
How will this be translated into a new five star feedback system? Will I (and
everyone else) just be give a perfect five star rating to start under this new
system? If so, doesn't this effectively erase all past problems and give
an unfair advantage to established high feedback members? If we will be given
a less than perfect five star rating under this new system, how will that rating
be calculated? Will they arbitrarily decide that all prior positive feedback
will be given 5 stars, all neutrals will be given 3 stars, and all negatives
will be given 1 star? That seems quite arbitrary and inaccurate. For example,
not all positives I received or gave were for perfect 5-star service; but they
were better than a 3 or neutral.
I also don't see how expanding the feedback choices from 3 to 5 will make
so much of a difference. Will 4 stars be the new neutral?
In theory, I think BrickLink's feedback system is fine as is. And in practice,
it works most of the time. In fact, despite it not being perfect, I still rely
on feedback a great deal when determining from whom and how much to buy, and
whether certain customers present greater risks or need more attention than usual.
If there is any problem with the current feedback system it is mostly in the
reluctance of many to use it as it was designed to be used. This suggestion does
not address that problem.

Voted no.
'3 Ok' is a Neutral 'meh'.
'1 'barely adequate' is as Negative as 'incompetent'.
Leaving 'No star' is no feedback and shouldn't count as Negative.
The more options the more difficult rating becomes.
Leaving feedback should be easy and fast to do for those who want to.

I voted No. 1-5 is the same shades of Positive, Neutral and Negative, with a
little more grey area in between.
