be added as an alternate. The sets that I parted out all had part 61252.

They never throw parts away and new parts are sorted in the same bins as old
parts. When a bin is emptied near to the bottom old parts appear and find their
way into new sets.
Clearly having gone back into production,
at least for a short amount of time.

This is all the more reason why we need to be careful when doing inventory work.
Lego does not operate according to the clean lines we often strive for in our
system. I think we have a lot of data in our inventories that ends up being there
out of default because people just aren't checking closely enough.
As to which type in a situation like this should be the alternate, I am open
to change requests correcting the order if someone feels like they have a good
reason for things being the other way around.
