Russell, please don't, this inventory with all it's alternates has been
studied before I submitted it (+ a small rectification afterwards) and you're
seeing it in the wrong direction I think (based on your forum post a few days
ago): The 'regular' items are as a matter of fact the second version,
the alternate items are the first version (less likely to be found). You'll
only mess up things if you proceed I'm afraid
I did it in that order to avoid messing up other alternates and to have less
problems with quantities of certain parts.

Cheers, Eric

No, the thing I was fixing had to do with the Alternate "OR" function, changes
for which are not visible in the log. For an example of the "OR" function properly
used, see the new inventory for 222-3:

Set No: 222 Name: 1 x 1 Bricks
*
222-3 (Inv) 1 x 1 Bricks
62 Parts, 1961
Sets: Samsonite: Supplemental

Someone had earlier tried to use the "OR" function to represent the alternate
parts, and then this action was later reversed. There were traces of this in
the inventory note, which was why it didn't completely make sense.

Another trace of this was that one of the lots that had been moved to the Regular
section:
6x Dark Bluish Grey:

Part No: 30363 Name: Slope 18 4 x 2
*
30363 Slope 18 4 x 2
Parts: Slope
...still had an alternate OR value attached, and it was causing it to be separated
from the rest of the regular parts (apparently the OR function will separate
any inventory section). Normally, the OR value is set to zero, but for this part
it was still set to 1. (see images below)

Because the OR values are not visible or editable when a part is a Regular part,
I had to move the part to the Alternate section to reset the OR value to zero,
and then move the part back to the Regular section so it could sort properly.

Please take another look at the inventory to make sure everything is right. If
you have a better idea for a note (particularly if you wish to specify which
version came first) please suggest something. We don't always have to have
the first version of the set in the regular section, it just happens to be the
way I personally do it, all other things being equal.

I realize that changing things people have put some work into can be a very sensitive
thing, and I don't intend to change anything unnecessarily. But there was
clearly a technical problem with this inventory, and hopefully it is resolved
now.

Russell

Hi Russel,

Didn't realise you where just fixing the OR function for that part.
The 'OR' function was dis-functional for quite some time after the Hacking,
I don't recall exactly when it was restored and if already restored when
I changed the inventory of this set.
I do know the OR function is a an action exclusive to the Inv.Admins, so maybe
that particular part (and the OR) was unnoticed during the approvals by the formal
Inv. Admins and to be honest I didn't pay all that much attention to it myself,
the main point for me was to have the set sorted out between it's 2 versions

Thank you for your action as it turns out now it was to tune the inventory and
not changing the actual regulars/alternates in the set, I guess I should have
waited on the actual result before jumping to conclusions

Cheers, Eric

Fixed!

For the record, the instructions using the parts listed in the regular section
of the inventory have the print number 4640426.
