A few words of explanation.
1. Notice the black 2 x 4 plate count in Peeron's inventory of this set.
I have 6 in another reliable set as well, and the mold numbers all match each
other. So this is not really a surprise.
2. There is one loose 75 cm string in the compartment above the red gears. This
is necessary for building some of the pictured models.
3. There is one 50 cm string attached to the yellow winch, but since BL lists
the winch without the string, it has to be included separately in the inventory.
This is the way many power cables used to be listed - the connectors being separate
from the wires, even though they always came assembled in new sets.
4. The extra chain links - I have seen an extra 1 or 2 in a number of sets over
the years, but never felt confident enough to add them as extras without a sealed
source. These links were typically issued in multiples of 25:
