I can verify that this is correct. I have this set, and have both a Purple and Light Purple piece and these are definitely Light Purple.
The original inventory submitter had no clue what they were doing with regards to the colors, as can be seen from all the updates in the inventory change log.

To be fair to the original submitter, Light purple came out in sets the same
year that this set was released. Also I'm sure Swanburg is more concerned
with dropping the soap than he is with whether or not he inventoried a set correctly
on BrickLink.
