I don't know exactly what was done previously to confidently declare there were
no inventory gremlins in BrickLink. But the user experience is sufficient to
indicate it is worth bringing back those features.

The above threads link to numerous inventory issues (missing or additional) from
multiple users. Based on the feedback ratings, the problems are affecting multiple
users with extensive experience. So I have difficulty blaming them all on operator
error.

I know the feature was a significant computational and storage burden. Furthermore
the previous effort found no conclusive problems or issues. But it's worth it
the investment to either identify the problems or confidently declare there is
no problem.

Add my problem with white ladders (just one example over the last year) that
I posted on 1brickstreet's similar post

There are some Gremlins, Hackers, or something

If I sell one more white ladder...

I could say some funny stuff about where to shove them but its a family site

I vote yes. I just got done pulling an order in which the entire lot was purchased
in each item. Nine of the 29 lots have either overage, some by 20 or more, or
shortage. Lucky I had stock to fill the shortages. This is the most number
of discrepancies I have seen since I started here. I have been seeing this for
the last month or so.

I don't normally check ALL of my inventory at any one time, but I do check each
lot that is sold for accuracy even if it is not bought out completely. I also
know to check if another order behind the one I am pulling may have contributed
to the total I see on the order I am pulling.

I hope it can be fixed. This is costing me more time to pull orders when I have
to hunt down parts to fill a shortage.

BL 2.0 will be more than welcome if it fixes this problem. Even if not, I just
want to see that changes are in the works. The has to be the oldest coded selling
site on the net. It's really sad.

I doubt there are many sites that still support FF 1.0, Safari 1.2 and MSIE 5.

Even PayPal requires later browsers (last time I checked).

That is not an advantage! It's a SECURITY RISK, which is why it was haked
this year.
