A lot of the tools are now available through third party sites such as Brickstore
and Brick Freedom, and a good job they are making too. I suspect the people at
Bricklink are happy for others to do the work for them.

One feature on Brick Owls site is the ability to see the full history of a lot,
all changes are recorded there.

Morning Folks.

Having collected Lego for more years than I care to remember, we have accumulated
many vintage minifigures. We have been trying to decide whether to buy parts
to complete them or break them down.

After a lot of thought we have decided to list all the components separately
as we are a parts shop. We have uploaded around 2500 recently and we have good
few thousands in the process of uploading.

We have also parted out some of our new miniatures as well.

There is some really good parts here so worth a look

Cheers

Steve

So this buyer was demanding to use paypal which i do not allow for people in
the netherlands, as it costs more for the same thing, as well as several bad
experiences, credit card thieves etc. I send him a message saying they can pay
by IBAN, or I can cancel the order no problem.

He or she insists to pay with paypal, so I cancel the order and give feedback
that the seller refuses to use the offered payment method, and now gives me negative
feedback in retalition also lying that I would be rude.

Reading up a bit it seems the best way to deal with this in the future is NPB
instead of cancelling? This doesn't seem very seller friendly...

How big do you think the chances are that my feedback removal request will be
granted?

If IBAN was clearly shown in your terms then if after replying that you cannot
accept PayPal then you should have done a NPB. This sets the process in motion
and protects you against negative feedback ( or so I understand).

I do understand from the buyers point of view though, as PayPal protects you
but with IBAN you have little or no protection

Evening all.

We have been busy adding lots pf new parts over the past few week. Amongst them
are 19 large HP sets, loads of City police sets, Speed Champion sets and more.

We are also in the throes of listing all remaining our minifig parts and accessories.
I think over 500 added already with many many more to follow. Some quite unusual,
rare and vintage parts included.

We are at around 170k parts now with almost 10,000 lots so lots of choice to
look at.

Many thanks for your time

  Hello Fellow Bricklinkers,

I have got some cheap second hand sets from a seller. I got the Lego Tower of
Orthanc 10237. Th set has a lot of elements on add angles angles and this has
resulted in dust gathering.

Some of the 16 tooth peices have gathered almost half a centimetre of dust. Others
like the floors of the building, (namely the basement) have gathered LAYERS of
dust and even after washing the baseplates the dust is still there.

I have also tried swabbing them with cotton balls.

I really need a way to remove the layers of dust. Anything help will be much
appreciated.

Thanks,
The Cute Giraffe

If compressed air doesn't work and the dust is stuck on, the best thing to
do is completely disassemble it and wash it. A mild dish soap in warm water works
well. I usually put some pieces in a plastic colander in a sink, use a tooth
brush to agitate the dirt, rinse everything off and leave it on a towel for a
couple days to fully dry.

I also find a 1" paint brush very helpful when covered in dust A good quality
one with artificial bristles so they dont scratch

I not really care for my numbers of feedback because i will only buy. Aslong
the seller dont give feedback I will also not rate them. Or should I give neutral
rating cause of the lack of them giving feedback?

how many sellers have added you to their stoplists already?

Feedback is optional and can not be forced by either buyers or sellers. If you
want the seller to leave you feedback then maybe start by leaving the seller
positive feedback and then send a polite message asking them to do the same.

leaving a negative or neutral feedback for not receiving feedback is a big no
no.

In these type of incidents the negative should be removed by BL. Shops reputations
shouldn’t be affected by people not understanding the system

Despite the OP said he is clearly desperate for feedback but resorting to feedback
blackmail is a disgrace

As a new buyer you should ask these questions( or search the forums) before leaving
an unwarranted and totally unjustified neutral feedback

As someone else mentioned it is just retaliation for no reason

Also you have probably landed on the block list of 100/1000’s of European sellers.

As a seller I indeed offer simple feedback in batches when time allows.

Sellers generally send feedback on completion of the order process, and from your
point of view this means receiving, checking your order. If there are issues
you communicate with the seller to get resolution. Once this process is completed
you can then leave feedback of your choice to acknowledge completion of the order.
At this point the seller can also leave feedback knowing the the order is completed
and any issues have been sorted.

You leaving a neutral feedback which effectively is a negative and is scored
the same, is in my opinion is it acceptable.

Feedback is not compulsory so having this rant is totally unnecessary.

New buyers and we sellers should really try to understand the processes better

Hi! I recently got my second-ever negative feedback. My first was a few years
ago and admittedly deserved, I didn't do a good job checking the set's
sticker applications, and the way I packed it ripped one of the sails (I did
cover the cost and shipping of new parts, though). This new one, on the other
hand, seems unfair to me. I had a buyer cancel an order over the shipping price
being too high (I charged $5.28, which is what I estimated it would be with the
USPS first class shipping calculator). I left neutral feedback just saying the
order was cancelled due to shipping costs. I then put the buyer on my Buyer Stop
list, and I guess he tried to order from my store again because he found out
and left some negative feedback saying I blocked him because he cancelled. This
really doesn't seem fair to me, is there anything I can do? I tried doing
a feedback removal on the grounds that his negative review was because I put
him on the buyer stop list and not the order itself, but it doesn't seem
to have worked because over a week later the feedback is still there.

You'll probably find the buyer is also annoyed that you left neutral feedback
because your shipping costs were not stated up front. When you cancel for shipping
costs reasons, it is best to not leave feedback at all. It doesn't really
warn other sellers in any useful way and just looks like punishment so it is
not surprising the buyer left negative feedback for you in return.

It is so important sellers lay out their terms in a clear manner. The terms
in the OPs post are very muddled and lead them open to cancellation. To hit someone
with a neutral because you wasn’t up front with your shipping and small order
fees (which are unclear or missing), is very unfair and uncalled for. You left
yourself open for a retaliatory negative!

I would reach out, remove your feedback and ask them to do so.

I would strongly prefer using "Neutral" to mean that the transaction has completed
without upping or downing my mood. It would allow me and other buyers to encourage
sellers with great service and signal those with substandard service to improve
their service.

In many cases buyers not leaving feedback is effectively neutral. But once again
neutral should have no point value. If you want to leave a harsh review then
this is a negative and is how it should be. If it is, well I got my order, and
it was all, there, but I am not wowed, then this surely is a neutral, but the
seller has done nothing wrong, just not wowed the buyer. In this case why should
the seller be hit in his feedback?

I
As a buyer, I leave neutral FB as a "soft negative" - certainly not for a "normal
OK" transaction. If the order had issues and the seller wasn't willing or
able to fix it (or was very slow in communication), I consider a non-positive
FB. It will not be left before at least three attempts to get in touch with the
seller and find a solution.

Again, whether a soft negative or hard negative this is a `NEGATIVE , not a neutral.

But neutral? What does it mean? Is it supposed to mean: "Positive, but I wish
to suggest the seller develop in a certain area?" Or does it mean "I can't
decide if my experience was negative or positive"

Based on that, I don't know that the use of "Neutral" feedback gives the
seller, the buyer, or the community any useful information. So why is it part
of a score?

This is my point - a neutral should be of no value, neither. a plus or minus.
If it is minus, surely is then a negative score.??

Bricklink doesn't define what neutral feedback means on the feedback help
page (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=248). What do you as a buyer

feedback?

I don't currently have a use case for using neutral, so I'm hoping on
learning from your replies.

I don’t have a problem with a neutral feedback but it should not count as a negative.
Neutral is zero so should be that and neither count as a positive or negative.

Bricklink management need to up their game and

1). Change the scoring as above
2). Recalculate all peoples percentages using positive as +1 and negative as
-1
3). Explain to people exactly what the guide lines for both neutral and negative.
Explaining what these mean and what their actions do to buyers and sellers.
4). Create a flag whereby it asks maybe three times are you sure you want to
leave this feedback

Strange this. I was trying to do an inventory check on some trays last night.
The one in question was D998. It comes up “no items found”. Yet if I put the
item in, it is there and shows this number in the comments. Randomly it happened
with other trays.

On a different matter, I have noticed quite a number of ghost lists again
