I have received few packages sent via Maxi or Gross Brief international in the
past few weeks (from Germany) but there is a seller (from Munich) who told me
he bought the label (and fill-out the CN22 form) but four postal offices refused
to accept the package.

I know the rules for Brief international changed in 2019 but I was informed that
this product can still be used and it is indeed used by many German sellers.
At the same time, few of my packages were sent, since December 2019, by Brief
international so why this one is not accepted by any postal office?
what is the exact deal?

Hi yes its not allowed. For commercial sellers its possible to send as "Warenpost".
If its a private person there is only the way with parcel.

i wanted to change to "returned" but it was not possible

Maybe you have to change your settings:

https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp

"Separate order payment status from order status"

At my order page, payment status shows:
none
sent
received (payments is set to received with PayPal Onsite Payments)
clearing
returned
bounced
completed

  Hi,

is there a way in Bricklink when a buyer pay with paypal onsite and the shipping
costs are wrong to change it in the system?

I am not 100% sure, but I think the only way to make changes on Bricklink (if
PayPal Onsite is used) is to 1. change payment status to [returned], then 2.
refund the whole amount.
After that you can 3. make changes and send a new Invoice.

But you will loose your PayPal Fee and Buyer has to pay a second time.

Maybe someone can confirm this or has an even better solution?!

Diana

p.s. I think this only works with a full refund, not with a partial refund

i needed to change the value of shipping costs but there is no way?

I already talked with the buyer.

It seems that you managed to change it 😂

Anyways, for future reference, I think the solution is to change the status to
pending, then change shipping and then change the status back to original state.

Best regards
Your customer

Yes, and adjust the payment status too.

not possible =)

"The status can’t be changed back to None at this point because the payment has
not been returned back to the sender’s account. If this error keeps happening
after completing the refund, please contact Customer Support."

Are the shipping costs higher or lower than charged?
When lower you can send a partial refund for the overpaid amount.
When higher you can refund the payment, change the payment status to refunded
or none and re-invoice.

but from where paypal know that i send a part of the money back?

Hi,

i have many grey 4085a parts. Normally the only gray what is existing is light
gray. But some parts are a litte bit darker??

down is the "normal" light gray. On the top is a light bluish gray of part 4085d.

But what is this in the middle??

Hi,

i think it would be nice if i could not only update the normal prices to 3 decimals
but also the sale prices to 3 decimals.

Have suggested this direct to Bricklink development and whilst the response has
been positive so far we are still waiting for either a confirmation that it will
become available (and when) or a reason why it cannot be done.

We have had good feedback from several of the UK's stores and wonder what
others around the globe feel.

This should give us the ability to deal with our inventories on a more accurate
basis and , if there are any gremlins in Bricklink's system, point them out.

Thoughts?

We currently log individual part transaction history (inward and outward) using
the API, so it's definitely doable, but there are obviously more pressing
tasks for the development team. Nothing to stop sellers doing it for themselves
if they have a mind to do so.

To that end, I'd be interested to know if there's any serious interest
from sellers for a non-programmer's guide to utilising the BL API?

As a recently converted non-programmer myself, it's something I've considered
writing, but with free time being a finite resource, it all too easy to find
reasons for not embarking on such a project, especially when the potential audience
for such a manual is unknown.

Hi

in what way you use the api to see the changes for each part ?

ok hmm then i have to use the "decrease my cost" function with round to 3 decimals.
Then i have no items on sale but the price is cheaper for this parts.

Hi

it would be nice if every user would have his address and name as a normalized
form.
Especially in aspect to the use of the API to work with the address for shipping
and invoice.

Hi

i did not found this option. So ist needs only on option to round all lots which
have a sale to 3 decimal. Because often the prices with sale have 4 decimals.

Or is there a way to do that what i want ?

Hi

is there a reason why the description field is empty ?

In Suggestions, StudsOnTop writes:
  Hi Admin,

When using the XML Order download page here:
http://www.bricklink.com/orderExcel.asp

If you download one or more orders in XML format, then the
tags are always empty (see example below) whereas you'd expect the CategoryID
value to be in there.

Any chance the value could be inserted if it's not too time consuming to do?
For now, I can get around it by looking up the CategoryID of each item in the
downloaded master catalog, but it's adding additional processing time for each
lot ordered. Not a huge issue, but I figured I'd best report it in case it's
just an oversight.

Many thanks.

Example of an XML order lot with the empty Category value:
