This is something that crossed my mind reading the forum.

What if you have to leave a message to the counterpart BEFORE leaving a non positive?

Like: "I am leaving this negative feedback, the counterpart may reply to this
message within XX days before the feedback becomes effective".

If I am a seller, I may want to contact a rushy buyer who is leaving me a negative
for an order that had a bad outcome before warning me about that. This way I
can offer refunds, coupons, reshipping or whatever, and the buyer may be discouraged
from leaving me bad feedback.

If I am buyer, I may want to contact a rushy seller who is leaving me a negative
without even contacting me, and I may want to settle things in order to avoid
the feedback.

I have received sometimes rushy feedbacks that underwent all the feedback removeal
procedure... this may have been just spared if the person was aware that I had
in my intentions to settle things.

The feedback page encourages to resolve issues before leaving feedback:

Please try to resolve any disputes before posting a complaint. Feedback must
not be used to communicate with your trading partner or ask them a question

Is there something on here or could there be, a way that we can keep track
of the sets we own and what the current new value is along with the current used
value is and what the totals are?? Something like what BrickEconomy has.

I don't know if this will ever happen but I would love to see that chat rooms
return. They really helped me out when I was new and other as well. It was
also nice to make friends and talk Lego with others to get ideas and tips on
projects. I would hope that admin and the new owner of BL may see that chat
was an addition to the site. It was not the cause of BL 1.0's downfall so
it really makes no sence to take it out

Bump.

I have no interest in selling bricks but I want to keep track of full and partial
sets that I have. I think the Inventory feature will work well for that.

Can this be enabled for those of us who want to use it for ourselves and not
to sell to others?

Thanks
Steve

Websites as Rebrickable.com and brickset or the Brickstock program have these
features.
You can always upgrade your account to seller and keep the store closed.

It would so much improve the searching/buying experience if the seller's
location (under the 'More options' drop-down) could be saved as a default
preference. It really bugs me to have to change it with each part I'm costing.
Anyone else agree?

Unless I'm overlooking a setting, in which case, please illuminate me

Can I make an inventory of my parts on bricklink and keep it and print it for
my reference?

If not do you have a link to one that works well.

Gary

Other options are Rebrickable.com or the Brickstock program.

There should be a way to put your inventory into BrickLink without being a seller
so that it’s easier to part out sets for wanted lists

If I’m missing something please direct me to the page

It's possible to part out a set into a Wantlist without being a seller.

You can upgrade your account to seller without opening the store.
Or keep track of your personal inventory on Rebrickable.com.
