Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 1022 Name: Mini Basic Bricks - 29 elements
*
1022-1 (Inv) Mini Basic Bricks - 29 elements
26 Parts, 2 Minifigs, 1985
Sets: Educational & Dacta: Duplo: Basic Set

* Delete 1 Part 4199 Red Duplo, Brick 2 x 8
* Add 2 Part 3011 Red Duplo, Brick 2 x 4

Comments from Submitter:
Difficult to see in 1986 catalog, but the 2 x 8 brick is actually two 2 x 4 bricks. BrickLink original box photo shows one of the 2 x 4 bricks in red. Current title and 1986 catalog both say set has 29 parts - the 29th part is unknown.

Comments from Submitter:
Box photo and 1986 catalog both show the correct figure. See the BrickLink photo of original box to verify.

I meant, “BL database id 8781” == “part id 30602”, whereas “BL database id 30602”
doesn’t exist.

  ???? I swear every time I think I have know a part by sight I realize I am completely
off.

Both of these discussion are very logical. Can we have a catmin chime in as to
why certain pieces are classified as such. How do we go about a change?

Hi,

This is my time starting a thread so apologies if I’m asking a dumb or much asked
question, but are there 2 variants of this blaster that are both genuine Lego?

I seem to have 2 types in my collection those being:

Type 1 - Printed with Lego logo in the recess above the trigger on one side and
the part number on the opposite recess. The trigger has 4 numbers separated by
a hyphen, with one pair of numbers underlined. When rifle butt is placed to the
right, there is a large circular recessed molding mark on the upper surface
of the butt.

Type 2 - No Lego logo or part number in recess above the trigger. The trigger
itself has a letter c in a circle on one side and a single digit number on the
other. Circular molding mark on the butt is very subtle and on the opposite side
to Type 1. This type (Type 2) is that shown in the 2nd picture for part 57899
on this website (the first photo is a computer render with no markings).

So logic would dictate that both are legitimate as one has the Lego logo and
the other is used by this website, but just wanted to ask the question to improve
my knowledge and know definitively.

I did a brief search of the forum and it doesn’t seem to have had a specific
thread before, but again apologies if this is a well worn subject that I’ve just
missed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

  Because of the box?

Yes.

  What is then the definition of this section when you include also former Sculpture
sets into it?

A catalog administrator would need to answer that question. I believe sets are
categorized based on the theme they are marketed under, though. If the box says
Creator, then the set goes into the Creator theme.
