How do you know that, though? Do you work for Universal Studios?
That would actually be pretty cool if you do. I know someone who does, but I
haven't spoken with them about this movie.
| The effect of a documentary showing off a guys greatness is it will promote the

It will promote LEGO, though, by sheer virtue of Pharrell's popularity.
I can't say I'm personally a fan—just not big into music in general—but
he's got quite a following. Perhaps the LEGO Group will even release a set
in his honor.
Or it could be a total flop and a waste of money, but we won't know until
after it's been released. I'm hoping it does well; the guy deserves better.
I can understand if you feel that LEGO has become overly commodified, but those
concerns are better addressed directly to the LEGO Group and Universal Studios
rather than in a forum full of music lovers.

Not appropriate in my opinion.

I think it's more so a movie about Pharrell, in Lego - Pharrell is known
to be a creative guy, so it makes sense as to why he and Lego partnered up to
make a movie about his life or whatever it is

If you don't like who they are promoting and why, you might be better off
filing a formal complaint with Universal Studios and The LEGO Group.
I don't see how BrickLink is relevant to this discussion? BrickLink is only
involved with cataloging LEGO sets and gear that are related to both the movie
and LEGO. What involvement does BrickLink have with the movie itself?
I'm curious as to why you think BrickLink should get involved in this subject?
Cheers ...

| "Underarm swirls" is a great description, I'm going to use that too!
If I'm going to list a torso with cracks/nicks/underarm swirls/etc it's
going to be because the torso is still worth good money, so I will be as descriptive
as possible and offer to send photos.
High-end minifig parts is a tough category to sell in - some buyers can be very
particular.

Yeah see that makes sense to me also.
Do you note the circular scratches under arms when they are obvious? I saw a
seller calling them "underarm swirls" years ago and I stole the term.

Interesting. I have a ridiculous drawer of spare hands and arms
I'm always happy to put them to use I've got more than I could ever
use. Lol

Funny enough even tho I sell the broken arms sometimes when they are on the torso
I have 2 large ziploc bags and 1 large drawer completely filled with spare hands
and arms I guess I throw out a lot of torsos

I buy some minifigure torsos.
And there notice "crack under the arm" i understand 'arm crack'.
Seller reply : "Very clearly stated in description cracks UNDER arm, not
ON it."
Did I get it wrong?
Other sellers clearly enter the subject
Example : cracked torso (left, right,..) side
It's the first absurd thing I've ever experienced
What do you think about seller notice?
Thanks.

I think I would have interpreted this as a torso crack.
"crack under arm" implies that the crack is not on the arm itself.
It would seem odd to note location of the crack on the arm since arm cracks are
almost always in the same spot.
Just my interpretation. Ambiguous though.
To mimic the others, clearly stating what is cracked would be best.
"arm cracked" or "torso cracked"

I would imagine most sellers would just remove or replace a cracked arm rather
than sell it cracked, no?

I consider both you and the seller to be victims.
Both of you have been hurt with the negative feedback.

Hello.
Yes, I found out that the seller may vaguely announce it this time
I'll be careful next time, and I just hope there won't be any other victims
who interpreted it like me
Thanks

If you see a description such as this and are unsure, contact the seller before
putting the torso with a badly worded description such as that in your cart.
If they don't reply, it is up to you to figure out yourself whether you want
to put up with the hassle of dealing with a torso that either has a crack in
one or both arms, or in the torso itself.
Just my opinions.

Yeah.
I won't buy it again in this store,
If other stores are using ambiguous notices, I'll ask the seller and buy
them
I don't want any other victims
Thanks.

That's right
There are two interpretations, but usually they clearly write down the subject
of the crack
|
mhm that would be optimal but with 17894 stores on bricklink some dont like straightforward
explanations
