I'm looking for somebody who can design/build crane for one of my customers.
First pure static but a working crane is preferred. More information about the

I have a budget for this so it doesn't have to be free.
Who is experienced with these builds and can help me with that?

| Thanks both for replying - and although it's annoying that it's not possible,
I'm also glad I wasn't missing an easy step that was available all along!

| I use the "Part Out" feature to create a wanted list with every part
in a set, then go through my collection and "find" all the parts until
I have enough to build it.
But the Counterparts (items with stickers or images on them already) never get
included in the list. So I have to go to the Bricklist set Inventory and add
them 1 by 1.
There is a tickbox in "part out" for "Extra parts" but not "Counterparts".
Often these parts have the same Part Number as the inventory but with a suffix
"pb001" or similar.
Is it possible to do what I'm wanting?
|
No, there is no way to add Counterparts from a part out. There is no system to
link them to the parts in the Regular inventory and therefore no way to ensure
you don't add duplicate items.
BrickLink should add a separate feature for this specific process. But that would
require new programming... it's not likely.
I would bet it can be done with Brickstore? Perhaps an experienced user can weigh
in.
|
I confirm, you do this and more really easily with BrickStore.
|
As an alternative (although it's more work), here's how I do it: The
sticker sheet is included in the inventory, so I look at that first, and pick
out all the stickered parts from my stock, deleting the to-be-stickered parts
from the wanted list. If I find everything, I also remove the sticker sheet,
if not, it stays there as a reminder to get the missing things later.
You could also manually add the counterparts from the inventory I guess, but
bricklink is notoriously unreliable with stickered counterparts anyway, so I
prefer the safe way...
Happy sorting!

I have included a red brick 2x3 with price set to the lego price. Require say
100 bricks.
I have also inclued brick 2x3 of any colour (N/A) set to a requirement of 200
bricks.
When I buy all and select the top store does this show different combination
of colours of 2x3 bricks starting with the cheapest price, then the next cheapest
and so on until it makes up 200 ?
|
Hi,
Nope. Unfortunately
If you search your WL in a store, you’ll be shown all the lots of 2x3 that have
at least 200 bricks.
If you use the Auto-fill options, _all_ the lots will end up in your cart (so,
if there’s 10 lots, you’ll get 2,000 bricks in the cart!).
If you use Auto-select or EasyBuy, the algorithm will choose a lot in a store
with 200 2x3 bricks in one colour.
I’ve no idea whatsoever how that lot is chosen. Tests have proven it’s not the
cheapest in the store, and it’s not the ‘first’ in the store (in any way you
define ‘first’). And it’s even worse (price-wise) if there’s multiple stores
in the selection.
IOW: N/A is okay when it’s just about finding stores, but it’s not good when
you want to ‘buy’ automatically.
Also: just try. It costs nothing but a little time

| the "partner fee" on paypal in sales tax. bricklink gets none of that
money. they only get the fees that sellers pay once a month.
you can apply orders to your wanted lists by going here
https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettingsCols.asp?v=p&viewFrom=O
and selecting "Items in Order on My Wanted List Icon" and then clicking
the scroll next to the order and then following the information on that page

|
| So this is kind of a multi part discussion so brace yourselves.
Lets discuss the partner fee we pay through PayPal as well as the "Fee"
we pay for selling items here. The reason id like to discuss what these fees
are used for is because i feel some of the money that we pay to use this platform
should go toward making improvements on Bricklink. Yes i am aware that someone
has to pay to keep the lights on, literally snd metaphorically speaking. I do
also know that with the platform essentially complete, it does not cost as much
money to maintain. Im also fairly certain someone familisr with bricklinks code
is still on the payroll. im also aware the platforms newer version is still being
worked on correct? So since bricklink doesnt actually help solve any of the very
few issues that arise (monetarily speaking) where does this money go? the most
important item that needs addressing is to pay someone to add the ability to
automatically remove items from our wanted lists that we purchase. To me this
seems to be a no brainer in regards to convenience. People like myself who suffer
from neurological disorders that make us forget things much more easily are taking
a hit. Yes it is my fault im not denying that but i feel as if no one would complain
if the option is added somewhere in our settings. i know im kind of ranting and
i know the Lego Group can do whatever they want with their money, but without
our generous double dipped fees, this platform would cease to operate. And i
have no ill will toward lego or bricklink for requiring fees to be paid. All
organizations require some fee since the very first Home owners association we
formed after exiting our caves for good. But seriously im not irritated at anyone
but myself...

Bonsoir,
