You're on mobile, right? That's the experience on mobile at the moment.
I need to fix it so it's better. Check it out on the desktop when you can.

I would suggest you to keep the same text but remove the background image entirely
and the column layout.

I'd love to get feedback on my splash page from buyers at Bricklink. I'd
like to understand a little bit of what's going through your mind if I made
the splash page the default tab when a buyer comes to my store.

The first 10 users to let me know their thoughts in this thread will receive
a 10% off coupon to my store.

Primarily, I'm looking for feedback on if the splash page makes you want
to stay on my store and shop or if it's annoying and you want to leave and
go to another store right away.

To participate:

1. Navigate to https://store.bricklink.com/ralphs_bricks&utm_content=globalnav#/splash
2. Come back and reply to this message with your thoughts and feedback.
3. I'll issue you a coupon whether the feedback is good or bad

Sincerely,
Ralph's Bricks

It doesn't really make me want to go away, but it doesn't really make
me want to stay either. Personally I find it kind of disorienting.

Technically true. Mine has a D-Ring there for a single point tactical sling instead.

Hello lego fans.

New to the forum and would appreciate some advice please.
I have over the years accumulated lots of 12v classic track for a layout I will
soon start building.

Wasn't apparent unit I just cleaned all the track the various degrees of
colour discolouration.
Sleepers are ok, just the rails.

Any recommendations on how I can clean all the track and preserver the original
colour.

Picture of two of the trains and some wagons.

Cheers,
Ed.

Most supermarkets in the U.S. will accept plastic bags for recycling—including
resealable baggies (someone correct me if I am wrong).

You also could try to find someone local who will take them, as it's generally
cheaper to buy new ones than to ship them somewhere.

I personally use the plastic bags people send me parts in to put in the parts
I'm sending people, it doesn't completely evens out but it keeps the

Ok, so I was wondering if theres a collectors desire for manufacture error parts.
I know that prints on the wrong colour pieces are deffo desirable but what I
currently have are parts that the plastic either didn't quite fill up the
whole mould or seem to have been melted(?) during the manufacturing process.

Any thoughts or are they just trash?

Now sales are picking up and I am always sad to see some of the parts go and
some of the boxes getting empty. I know it is a great problem to have, but it
is also sad

I know I am weird, but am I the only one?

Mine is an exact copy of your story, you're not alone!
I hate letting pieces go, I always think I missed something and I might still
have rebuilt one more of my childhood sets. But knowing that someone else gets
some joy out of them helps.

This is especially true if you get to know that some rare parts are going to
be used in a large project that may end-up in a show, museum or make a simple
builder proud of his creation !

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I really appreciate all of the help.

If I was to sell the parts individually, is there an easy way to tell what era
the bricks are from, or is it best to give a rough guess? As I mentioned in the
first post almost all of the bricks are older than me, so I'm not so confident
that I'll be able to distinguish the eras by myself.

Also is there a way to find a fair price for older pieces, since the 6 month
sale average will be mostly newer bricks, or should I try to come up with prices
myself?
Thank you again for all the advice everyone, it means a lot to me!

I have decided to open my store again which specialises in part kits and spares
and or repairs items.

My headline offer is the original space shuttle (8480) in fair condition and
with about 98% of parts, all motors worked when I dismantled it as did fibre
optics.

If you need any obscure parts send me a message, star wars, city, technic, thousands
of mainly small parts.

enjoy the shop if you visit, all parts not inventoried due to there being so
many, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

thanks anyways

If they are genuine 1x2 tiles then they are custom prints.
But I see them a lot as well, they are not tiles, but smaller and no opening
at the underside, but solid and both sides printed.

As far as I know it's playmobil, so still no Lego

The only way you can know what set a common part comes from is if it's assembled
with at least 2 other parts (see https://www.bricklink.com/catalogIn.asp?viewMulti=Y
). My current LEGO bin contained several small assemblies I've been able
to attribute to specific sets, mostly ones I'd already identified. It helped
with the process of sorting parts between sets.

In General, stearns writes:
I do it like that too - I try to find rare pieces in the heap, stickered ones,
figures and others that only came in one set, and try to collect the parts for
those sets. Then fill up partial sets I already have. The rest I sell as separate
bricks, I don't think there's a (reasonable) way to find out where they
came from, unless you know the sets very well yourself.

I agree, for the sets I discarded that had minifigs, I put them for sale individually
as well. No luck for my current bin, almost devoid of any minifig.

In General, peregrinator writes:

Selling sets and selling parts isn't the same job, it doesn't require
the same organization. I currently have several sets for sale each in their own
bag (or on my shelves), but only about a hundreds used part lots, which I keep
in exactly three ziploc bags. If I wanted to start selling more parts, I would
have to come up with a whole different sorting system to separate the parts for
sale and the parts I keep for future builds.

All true, but the OP's store already has parts listed for sale.

At the very least it's a good idea, if completing the sets is difficult,
to separate out the minifigs before trying to sell the parts in one batch.
