I was not aware of this part variant and I have sold mine already. No one else
has verified the set. I would be comfortable just replacing the part in the
inventory, since I have no confidence that it wasn't always the new part.

The thing is that part 2479 is shown on the box and in the instruction manual.
However, my sealed set contain part 67737.

No, definitely not. These are all pearl gold parts and they vary noticeably
in color. I've seen significant color variances in the same parts pulled
out of the same sealed set (half one shade and half the other shade).
It's just poor quality control from TLG.

| Hi,
Can you help me the color of the different gold parts shown in the picture below.
The two on the left are from
The three in the middle are from
In both sets, the parts are listed as Pearl Gold. However, the three in the middle
look more metallic as per the silver part on the right. Should I proceed with
an inventory change request to add the three in the middle as alternate Metallic
Gold parts?

I don't think an alternate is required for an underdermined part. I confirm this part has a groove. I have this set in my collection.

I think it is needed. It shows that this set has most probably alternate variant
also. But must be now confirmed from sealed set content. This set was originally
inventoried with non groove variant (for this part) and then was added groove
variant to the inventory as alternate. But we can't just simply change all
undetermine to "b" variant which this undetermine entry formerly represented.

I get it. I now fully understand the reason for the "undetermine". However, in
this particular case, since we know that "a" and "b" types both exist for this
set ("a"= me opening this seal set 2-3 years ago and "b" = Youtube link you provided
above), why don't we just keep "a" as regular and "b" as alternate (or the
opposite) and get rid of "undetermine"?
