Great you understood. So to confirm, having read my responses, would you look
for these two boxes?

I would have thanked you for the information, and if I had any other details
that led me to believe there were some mysterious boxes for them I'd send
them your way.

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=M&catString=868

That page should take you to the list of all Nexo minifigs so that you can see
all that exist. From there, if you click on each, you can add them to a Wanted
List (middle of the page with a heart symbol). After you've put together
the Wanted List for all of the figures you're interested in, you can use
the Easy Buy feature to search for stores that match the most/all of your figures.
It'll make carts for each store to allow you to easily buy from stores in
the US and around the world

  Are we not talking about different screens. I thought we are talking about the
catalog page (saving the view), not saved searches. If there is somewhere to
save it can you explain, otherwise I'm confused.

Oops I replied too quickly; you're right that the context is different and
I totally know what he means. Like if you want to show your current or your country
by default and save it. I agree that it's frustrating that you can't
set a default.

No; the tax is the place of supply (your address; being AB). So if you buy from
Ontario, you wouldn't pay 13% HST. You would pay 5% GST.

Every time I need to click the same parameters for my search. Would be so easy
if you could save that a a default or something.

Suggestion: Option to save search criteria.

I'm pretty sure this already exists: https://www.bricklink.com/searchAdvanced.asp

I didn't even know that was a thing, and I think that's what Poncke might
be looking for (hopefully).

  Unfortunately, the current group's moderators have been inactive, resulting
in a halt in new member admissions and restricting participation for many. Moreover,
there has been a noticeable increase in spam and a decline in content quality.

I see 4 new members in the last hour and many today - there doesn't appear
to be any kind of halt. And you only joined that group 2 weeks ago; you're
brand new 🤔 Nor do I see any spam or "decrease in content quality".
Did you reach out to the mods with any issues you had?

As you're in the US and there's tax collection, you need to pay via the
onsite Pay option. Have the seller refund what you sent them, and pay via BrickLink
onsite payment and it'll update for you

  You definitely need a 1x8x2 arch for those doors, since each of the doors is
3 studs wide and you want them to fit under the arch.

Part No: 3308  Name: Arch 1 x 8 x 2
*
3308 Arch 1 x 8 x 2
Parts: Arch

(there are six studs' width under the 1x8 arch, only 4 studs' width under
the 1x6 arch)

For the door he linked, it uses the 1 x 6 x 2 based on set 8802 (taken from the
set inventory on BL and the LEGO instructions - pic attached)

  Hi all

Just wondering if anyone could help me. I'm trying to make this door in
lego but I'm really struggling with the door type and archway etc etc.

I was thinking the 2554 door would work best but I'm struggling to build
up the archway around it with the right parts.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the best parts to do this please?

Thanks

I'd recommend looking up examples on LEGO's site as they have all of
the instructions. So if I check

Part No: 2554  Name: Door 1 x 3 x 6 Curved Top
*
2554 Door 1 x 3 x 6 Curved Top
Parts: Door {Brown}
and click the "18 sets" that
it's in on the top right, I see that it's used in

Set No: 8802 Name: Dark Fortress Landing
*
8802-1 (Inv) Dark Fortress Landing
134 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2005
Sets: Castle: Knights Kingdom II

https://www.lego.com/en-ca/service/buildinginstructions/8802

From the instructions I see that the 1 x 6 x 2 arch will work for that door

Part No: 3307  Name: Arch 1 x 6 x 2 - Thick Top with Reinforced Underside
*
3307 Arch 1 x 6 x 2 - Thick Top with Reinforced Underside
Parts: Arch {Blue}
and it'll give you ideas for how to get the doors hinged as well.

I'd check the instructions of other sets that use those doors. And a few
other curved doors that you could check for inspiration depending on the size
that you're aiming for:

Part No: 6105  Name: Door 1 x 4 x 8 Curved Top
*
6105 Door 1 x 4 x 8 Curved Top
Parts: Door {Brown}

Part No: 2400  Name: Door 1 x 5 x 10 Curved Top
*
2400 Door 1 x 5 x 10 Curved Top
Parts: Door {Brown}

Part No: 24054  Name: Door 1 x 4 x 7 2/3 Curved Top
*
24054 Door 1 x 4 x 7 2/3 Curved Top
Parts: Door {Reddish Brown}

Part No: 33216  Name: Door 1 x 4 x 11 1/3 Curved Top
*
33216 Door 1 x 4 x 11 1/3 Curved Top
Parts: Door {Reddish Brown}

  Hmmm. It looks like it could maybe be about 100 or so pounds (I say this as
an 80 litre tote is often about 50ish pounds and it looks like it could fill

80 L being about 50 lbs is a good tip, thank you! I can probably figure out a
more precise (while still estimated) weight that way. Say it turns out to be
just around 100 lbs, would you say that 500 Canadian Dollars is a reasonable
starting point to list for sale (on Kijiji or something similar)?

Yes about $5-$10 CAD per pound is average and in general about what I often buy
it for

Definitely a very reasonable price; especially as the figs are separated (easier
to gauge how many there are in the lot) and worth much more $. I haven't
bought bulk lots in a long time (especially locally), but I know in the Ottawa
area if that was listed for $500 with the figs, it would be gone fast - hopefully
it's similar in your area

  When instant checkout would be required for all stores (and I don't see why
not, seems like a logical evolution), the full cost of an order including all
fees the seller feels he should charge, is transparant to the buyer while he
is filling baskets. It's also more fair to sellers, as they are compared
with each other on equal grounds.

I 100% agree that all fees should be up front and visible. I would love that
the platform become truly fully IC like the other site (and anything "manual"
is a forced quote), but BL really hasn't been able to keep up to support
many countries to allow for it I'm sure Canada isn't the only country
that isn't fully IC supported yet.

other manual invoice options and suddenly those disappeared and all that was

Is it possible to have other manual options or does the system default to the
$0 shipping one for request for invoice ? I am able to have 2 manual options
- Economy & Priority , so I'm baffled why I cannot have a 3rd option for
local pickup. Anyone have any ideas about this? Just wondering how many options
you can have on a store.
thanks

Check your shipping profiles and see if they're being grouped. This causes
it to show the lowest option to a buyer that matches the shipping profile.

  I am very small seller and have only been selling for a few months, so this may
be a dumb question.

Yesterday, I got my first request for a shipping quote on an kind of expensive,
Christmas themed set that has been in my inventory from the start. No problem,
I figured out the shipping charges and updated the quote per the help file.
Today, I get my second shipping quote request for the exact same item.
Different (apparent legit) customers, but the same set.

This just seems really weird to me. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but
I wanted to ask if there was anything I should be worried about here? And what
do I do if they both accept the quote? (I only have one listed and available
to sell)

TIA

This 100% happens a lot I find (and especially for holiday themed items). You'll
find that sometimes the parts/sets that sit around the longest eventually end
up being the cheapest in your country/in general so you'll get more interest
all at once. Only one will be able to accept the quote as whoever accepts first
will trigger an order, and it'll automatically cancel the quote as the item
will be out of stock.

  Bricklink should:

  2. Ideally properly give an error when trying to enter 15 char passwords during
account creation/password updating. Preventing erroneously input.

On the final point I am a bit torn. Either automatically truncating the auto-filled
password is not great (as you are amending input), but it is also not easy providing
an error upon auto-filling too long passwords. In any case, if item 1/2 are resolved,
this item should also be resolved.

+1 for this; I understand the 15-char limit if that's a system limitation.
It's already long enough (but if there's no system limit, it should be
removed). But the main issue is that it should not be the field itself enforcing
the limit because of the behaviour of password managers (including built-in Chrome
or other browser password generators).

Remove the field character limit of 15, but impose the error when the inputted
password is greater than 15 characters. The error should clearly state what limitations
there are (such as maximum 15 chars).

You can write the password limitations literally right above the field in size
24 bolded characters - it won't help if you don't give an actual UI error.
The user will be stuck in a loop of setting the password, failing the next time
they login, reset etc... if their PW managers/browser password generators are
defaulting to 16+ chars and they don't realize what's happening.

  any word on either bricklink or seller side implementation for tax for Canada
so we can instant checkout like most other countries?

IIRC there was a post by Russell more than a year ago saying that the BL legal
department concluded that BL wasn't an online marketplace according to Canadian
laws and thus, didn't required them to collect taxes. Did I dream that ?

(It's entirely possible Russell eventually posted this) but I also had posted
a message I received from Russell/BL legal about it with that note. They mentioned
that the previous communication in the ~Oct/Nov 2022 newsletter where it said
the implementation was coming was no longer happening. But of course, it doesn't
mean they won't voluntarily do it either (they can always choose to do so).
On the flipside; it doesn't explain why they still haven't turned on
the old school tax tables for Canada though. That's literally all sellers
are asking for lol We couldn't care less if the marketplace tax is on or
off (and for most; it's best if it doesn't happen of course).

There are also a lot of incoming changes and clarity surrounding the platform
sales coming in I think in Jan 2024 via the CRA. From the wording, I don't
think this part will apply to us as BL is based in the US and we sell physical
goods (not AirBnB and other services like that), but platforms will need to start
reporting sales data to the CRA for their registered sellers. That legislation
I think added a bunch of other clarity for platforms related to the tax collection
thing, so who knows...
