LOS ANGELES—On Monday morning, Ynon Kreiz, CEO of Mattel, Inc., publicly announced
his intention to purchase BrickLink, Inc. from the LEGO Group.

Mattel is the owner of MEGA Brands, the manufacturer and distributor of MEGA
BLOKS construction toys. BrickLink is an online platform where users can buy
and sell LEGO®-brand products.

The announcement comes in the wake of the BrickLink administration's decision
to remove many older products from the platform, a decision which upset a small
minority of its clients.

After a series of negotiations and research from a neutral third-party market
valuation firm, the two sides have agreed on a final price tag of 2.19 USD.

The deal is expected to close by the end of July 2042, after BrickLink provides
the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration with some much-needed
paperwork in order to complete the deal.

In the meantime, Mattel plans to begin removing all LEGO®-brand products from
the platform and replacing them with their MEGA-brand equivalent, if available.

Kreiz has assured the public that all of BrickLink's 28 employees will be
retained for the forseeable future, including longtime administrator Russell
Callender.

... and it's been taken down.

Was it ever up though? Some of it is very BL specific humour for those in the
know.

I have always been somewhat curious as to which members might own Castle Grayskull,

Thank you for posting this important news!

The truth is I'm very excited to announce they'll proposed the forum
Moderation to myself (probably after having checked the poor Seller Feedback
rating of the other Sylvain...)

Be sure I'll respect all opinions which corresponds to mine!

Please have a good one (April),

Russell was the driving force behind the decision to sell
That’s why we had the merge, it was to upset people, so they will look forward
to mega.

Knives? Do you have ProTech? They're out of Placentia in Southern California.
If so, pm me. That or even some MicroTech, depending.

I have a few microtech from the early/mid 2000s. I stopped collecting those right
around when the Troodon came out. Only auto I really edc is my PDW Invictus LE.
Patrick get's the best makers to do his runs. Love that place.

Get with me, we'll talk blades

For sure. I spent a few years making knives for friends and family out of my
shop in Northern CA. My hands still hurt.

I have experience in the knife collecting community and several forums where
we trade or pass around knives. We are all vetted and or k ow each other. Is
there a similar place here for mini figs? Particularly I am interested in swapping
duplicates of series 25 figs. I bought 12 from Lego.com to see what I would get
and as my luck usually has it I pulled 3 Film Noir, 3 Dog groomer, 2 gamers,
a Sprinter, Train ride, Harpy and one other I can’t identify with the QR code
scanner. Anyway if anyone is interested in trading and needs my dupes I could
use the herder, Tricerotops and barbarian to start with. Thanks.

I got around 36 blind boxes, and had super rough luck with them. Tons of Harpy,
dog groomers and gamers. It was brutal. I don't think anyone will buy any
of them. Ended up going to local big box with a scanner app and got the mushroom
girls I wanted.
