I didn't think of that, but that's probably it. The holes are a bit unevenly
positioned (maybe 1/10th of a mm, but it's clear by comparison).

Well, I just thought about it some more. If it was a customized brick, what part
was it made from? I can't think of any.
BTW - It has "Pat. pend" in the bottom.

Why not 3709c?

Because 3709c is made from two parts (notice the line in the picture), and it
doesn't exist in white.

The figure I have comes with this head that has a blocked open stud (alternate item). So there are versions with head 3626bpb0583 and versions with head 3626cpb0583.
