With the release of the 2 special connectors interference-free 2731b and 2731a,
there was no need anymore of the cable connection holes on the electric rails,
both curved and straight, so TLG began to produce rails without the cable connection
holes.
Here are the pictures of a MIB set (box opened but content still sealed in the
bags).

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 7839 Name: Car Transport Depot
*
7839-1 (Inv) Car Transport Depot
325 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1986
Sets: Train: 12V

* Add 2 Part 3242c Light Gray Train, Track 12V Conducting Rail Straight without Cable Connection Holes (Alternate) (match ID 2)
* Change 2 Part Light Gray 3242 Train, Track 12V Conducting Rail Straight {match ID 0 to 2}

Comments from Submitter:
These rails were included in the later releases of this set. I'm going to add some pictures of a new set coming with them.

Of course mixed combinations were possible too, depending on which rails TLG
had in their stocks at that time. For example see the pictures of this MISB set
below: the electric straight rails are WITHOUT the cable connection holes, while
the electric curved rails are WITH cable connection holes.

As for the electric curved rails, you can recognize the ones without the cable
connection holes even from the back, please take a look at these 2 pictures with
the 2 different types.

Hello Randy,

the white 3001 (with cross supports) in fact cannot be seen either in any of
the pictures I added, or in the pictures of other MISB sets that I saved in my
computer, so I understand this rejection, even if I think there is a good chance
that the white 3001 (with cross supports) was contained at some point (I hope
I will find in future some photos to prove this fact).
But I think you did a mistake, the white 3001 (with cross supports) is actually
part of the inventory, so please remove it and add the white 3001old (as shown
by the pictures I added), thanks!

Hi StormChaser,

thanks for taking part in the discussion and for explaining us the reasons of
this rejection, I perfectly understand that first of all you Admins want to get
your guidelines figured out before taking some decisions, but from your words
I suspect these guidelines will become more and more restrictive, and this fact
scares me enough: how could more restrictive guidelines help the catalogue to
become more precise and accurate?
