There are at least 2 different versions of instructions for this set. The differences for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate Items section with Match ID 99.
Quick overview of redesign: A black 32270 Technic, Gear 12 Tooth Double Bevel and a black 32498 Technic, Gear 36 Tooth Double Bevel are replaced by two dark bluish gray 3648 Technic, Gear 24 Tooth with 1 Axle Hole and two yellow 4265c Technic Bush 1/2 Smooth. This effectively reduces the speed at which the mechanism can be cranked.
