There are at least 2 different versions of instructions for this set. The differences for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate Items section with Match ID 99.

Quick overview of redesign: The large black wedges surrounding the arms of the ship are reinforced underneath by 1 x 6 arches and an ingenious adoption of 1 x 1 tiles on the walls of the craft keeps the wedges snug. The flaps between the wedges are also strengthened and a 2 x 6 brick replaces two 1 x 2 bricks below the cockpit.

Initially a service pack was released with the parts, but then the changes were incorporated into regular production.
