My name is Brett. I was born in Newcastle, Australia. I have a wife named Beulah and a son named Benjamin. We all currently live in Armidale NSW, which is a beautiful part of the New England area.
Well I guess I should update this page since I haven't in over 15 years :D.
Well a lots happened in the time I have been here on Bricklink. August 2002 was the time I became a registered member. The old days where you only had dial up internet :P, what a fun time that was. Became a seller and then registered as a business in July 2003.
In late 2006 I was became an official Lego retailer right up until 2013. During this time I contributed a fair bit to the Bricklink catalog inventories, since I was getting the releases before the official release date. My largest contribution would be the catalogs, since I started collecting them in early 2000 period.
During this time too my store was a regular 'highlighted and honored' store', plus twice a 'featured store'. Definitely a prime time for my business at the time.
Had a break for about 8 months in 2013 as I was close to burning out. Then reopened again but decided not to renew my official retailer status.
Up until 2015, I had every star wars set ever produced as part of my personal collection. Started to sell off my collection in 2016 as space was getting a bit hard to find. My space collection which consisted of every set produced from 1978-1999, I started to sell off too from 2017. But most of it I sold off recently within the last year or so. The main reason I sold them off is because of my current state of health. In October 2020 I was diagnosed with bowel/rectal cancer. Treatment and surgeries have now left me a bit disabled now but good news is that I'm cancer free now.
Nowadays I try and still keep busy but eventually I will have no choice but to cease trading my shop as a business. If I can, I will try and keep it running at hobby level but time will tell. Unfortunately, age and living with a disability catch up with all of us.
While I have sold off most of my Lego collections now, I still have my coveted catalog collection. Many catalogs I have are super rare, especially old dealer/trade ones. Not ready to sell them off yet, but when I do, I will announce it ;).
Thank you for your time in reading this, can't think of anything else to add at this stage but when I do I'll add more. This page was updated Feb 25th 2024.
Play well.
