My name is Brett. I was born in Newcastle, Australia. I have a wife named Beulah and a son named Benjamin.
My facination with lego began in 1981 when my mother first bought me my first space set (
6842 which I still have till this day!). I have always been facinated with
space and thus that is why I have only kept to the one theme (cheaper that way). Star Wars has always been
a fascination of mine. I once built a star destroyer out of only classic space lego in 1994, the bricks being grey
and blue. I remember being very impressed once I finished the model. Measurements were 2.9 metres long,
1.6 metres wide and the height being a metre. You can imagine my delight when I saw the 1999 catalog and
saw those Star Wars beauties for the first time! "My dream has come true" I thought to myself.
Recently I have started to collect Lego catalogs from all over the world! I do now have an extensive range from all over the world, but I am always open to get more! Especially if I haven't seen the cover of the catalog before. If your interested in trading or purchasing catalogs? Please contact me! I do now have a large range to barter with. I have made it a point to extend the Bricklink catalog of catalogs! It makes us sellers and buyers life easier when selling or purchasing catalogs from bricklink, actually seeing what we are actually getting!
The only problem I have with my lego is that I don't seem to have enough space in my house to keep them
assembled :-(.
At the moment I have a few Star Wars models built for display around the house. Everything else is packed
away in boxes. Not such a bad thing though, it keeps them in good condition and I don't have to worry about
keeping them clean. As would many Lego collectors would realise that dust is such a pain.
I'm very happy to know that there are many Lego collectors out in the world and I am not the only crazy
one ;-). I only knew of two other people who collected Lego just like me. That all changed when I was
first introduced to the internet in mid 2002.
