| Having been born in 1986 with a brother 3 years older interested in Lego, my earliest memory of the building toy are (what I perceived to be) rather quaint, even kitsch models of fascinating things to a boy - in particular I liked the castles and pirate ships. My brother had the initial accumulation of Lego, the Space Police and Forestmen sets being heavily emphasized.
I hadn't thought much about Lego beyond that it was such a uniquely malleable, interchangeable building toy. In 2004 or so I got a copy of 4886 "Building Bonanza," a "Designer" set (precursor to the "Creator" line) which allowed you to build 9 kinds of houses.
I continue to use LEGO - and I sell extra pieces from sets to support the habit. | This page has been viewed 863 times. |
