| | I've always loved Lego. From the day my parents taught me to save my money I have bought different bits and pieces of Lego. My first purchased with my own money was the 6285 Black Seas Barracuda, of which I still have to this day (and every single piece I might add - excluding the box).
Lego disappeared from my life once I hit my late teens. I just didn't have the time for it, so it was all tucked away in dad's garage not to be touched for quite a while.
I then had children - three now (a boy and two girls). My eldest (boy) is now 5 and is really into Lego once he found out I used to have some. I dug up my old Lego from Dad's place a few years back and over a few months built up every single set I had. That's how I found BrickLink - searching for somebody who sold parts for sets that I was missing...
It was amazing to see how after almost 15 years I still loved it as much as I did when I was a kid. The extra special bit is that my son loves it just as much as I do.
I'm now at the stage where I have to contain myself from purchasing every Lego set I possibly could - it would send me broke... Only once or twice a year do I allow myself to purchase something - fortunately my son gets heaps for Christmas / birthdays etc, so I don't really go without. | | This page has been viewed 139 times. |
