I think my last set before the Dark Ages was Galaxy Explorer, but I had a few of the classic Technic sets like 850 and 851, too.
After a twenty-year career in the Navy, I blame the Architecture line for dragging me out, and since collecting the entire line, I've been building Modulars, Creator Expert, Star Wars UCS and most recently, Technic.
