Since the pandemic, I joined many facebook lego groups and picking up building lego as a hobby again. I grew up with a few lego sets. The last time around I built anything was probably before the age of 12. It has been a long hiatus. It is now becoming somewhat of a hobby again... or I should really call it an addiction, especially when I am stuck at home during the pandemic.
I am just learning to build my first MOC. I built super hero sets mostly. I also collect minifigs and printed tiles and bricks. (Never liked the stickers on bricks idea, and I've always thought printed tiles were just as cool as stamps and stickers, and I also collected those as a kid). I also have some ninja turtle sets, technic cars, creator cars, and speed champion cars. I grew up with castle, native Indians, pirates, and a small amount of city stuff.
For the longest time I didnt know why people wanted to pick-a-brick without the minifigs, or just buy lego in sets... It is only recently, just a few months ago, that I discovered the AFOL community and MOCs, and also bricklink! I didn't know it was such a huge thing.
By the way... I also collect action figures (Marvel, DC, and Japanese anime & manga). That's why I really like the super hero and ninja turtle sets | | This page has been viewed 28 times. |
