I was born in 1978 and so LEGO was what got me through the 1980s. I've worked out that my oldest LEGO set is from 1980 (clearly at 2yrs old, my parents weren't worried that i'd eat it) and is the Paramedic Unit (6364) and the Gas Pumps (6610).
Having stuck with LEGO Town/City/Land through the 80's and retaining my entire collection, I've been enjoying the LEGO advent calendars for the last 4 years and also seeing the Lego Bible and youtube videos.
In 2007 I added a couple more sets to my collection, rebuilt the 'lost' sets using online instructions and now I am writing for The Brickford Gazette.
LEGO made me a visual learner, a logical thinker and a DIY genius. Thanks LEGO, essentially you got me my job in web design.
