The Brick Mountain

Hi to one and all...thank you for taking time to check this page out. I have been a huge Lego fan since the early 70's when my father bought me my first set. I transferred this love of all things Lego firstly to my son, who is now 30, and nowadays to my daughter, who is 9 and 1/2. My sons sets where mostly pirates, UFO and trains (circa 1991) which I'm glad to say survived the years well and are still all complete to this day. My daughter is mad for all things pink and is building up an impressive collection of Belville Fairy-Tail & Golden Land and Scala Lego for one so young. She also loves the Harry Potter sets and she is old enough to play along with her Lego as constructs the scenes she reads about. Thankfully it's not all about the girly Lego and if it has a pull back motor she is super keen to see how it runs along the floor, down the stairs or over her dolls. Now to me...I have a love of all things Tolkien and this means I have wasted countless hours building all the sets and wondering if my loft space is big enough to create all of middle earth in. I also have an ever growing collection of Star Wars sets and am hoping to one day have enough surplus bricks to build my very own Death Star...miniature of course. I spend a lot of my time either building Lego with my children or sorting through the random stuff I pick up on e-bay and boot sales hoping to find that one final piece to complete a set - of which I currently have about 80 on the go :-)
